Peer Support Volunteer

Job description:
  • Communicate with clients/users.
  • Assist clients with mental health recovery.
  • Assist young people, as well as children and their parents through challenges.
  • Assist clients in accessing the right therapies through the platform.
  • Researching different mental health conditions.
  • Compiling formal emails to users based on calls and research.
Requirements:
  • Experience with mental health, either personal or professional.
  • Experience with counselling and/or caring.
  • Experience in working with any of the following groups:
  • CYP (Children, Young People) – who are 18 years of age or younger
  • YA (Young Adults) – who are between the ages of 19-24
  • Parents – caring for a child under the age of 24 with mental health issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Have a good sense of empathy and a non-judgemental attitude.
  • A suitable PC and space to work from home.

Events Planning Volunteer

Job description:
  • Planning challenge events, both virtual and physical (subject to Covid-19 restrictions) to engage with local communities.
  • Promote mental health awareness.
  • Help increase fundraising for Mindsum and aid in other fundraising activities around mental health.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in fundraising and fundraising related activities.
  • A passion for children and young people’s mental health.

Content & Research Volunteer

Job description:
  • Writing Blogs and Articles to support our content around mental health.
  • Copywriting for our social media content, such as mental health related tips, hacks, motivational quotes, and many more.
  • Proofreading content to support our communications activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience within the mental health industry in personal or professional settings.
  • Strong interest in content creation, writing, copywriting, and storytelling.
